BEHIND MXRIDERHUB
A rider first.
A guide for your first laps.

Riding a 2024 KTM 250 SX-F
MY STORY
From a meadow to
the starting gate.
I was around 13 or 14 when my dad bought an old off-road moped from my uncle. I spent weeks riding it in a meadow, practising and enjoying every chance to go again. Before long, it felt too slow. I wanted a proper motocross bike.
Today, I ride once or twice a week on my 2024 KTM 250 SX-F and race whenever I can. Most of my races are in the Twentecup, a local motocross competition in Twente, the region of the Netherlands I call home. That first feeling of wanting one more lap has never really left.
Starting out also brought uncertainty. I wanted to beat riders who had years more experience. Learning to focus on my own progress became just as important as learning to ride.

Your progress is your own.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to focus on my own riding, not someone else’s pace.

WHY I BUILT THE HUB
A clearer start for the next rider.
Getting started can feel overwhelming. I created MXRiderHub to share what I’ve learned about gear, costs and preparing for the track, and to help more people discover the sport I love.
The guides are written in English for riders around the world. Beginners are the main focus today. As the hub grows, I want to make it useful for more experienced riders too, while keeping that clear starting point for anyone taking their first steps.
For me, motocross is the best sport there is. If sharing my experience helps someone feel more confident about getting started, that is exactly what I want this website to do. Start with a question you have today, or get in touch to suggest a topic.
A note on the guides
I share my own riding experience, including the gear I use and the things I learn on the track. Some articles include affiliate links, which may earn me a commission if you buy through them. You can explore the guides, compare your options and decide what fits your needs.
